Here in Scotland, we have many amazing wild animals. Species include the stoat, weasel, golden eagle and kestrel. Down the beach we can constantly see rabbit holes and droppings, and commonly a bird can be heard chirping and singing songs. In the picture above you can see 5 swallow chicks, after being hatched outside my back door. They are very chubby and are almost ready to leave the nest. (When they did, they spent the first day sitting on a cable, presumably stunned to the space and freedom!) Swallows nest (normally) annually outside our house. Last year they didn't come, but when they came this year they built a second nest; which, strangely, was not used.
