With Enter The Story
you really do enter the story:
just send in your photo
and you will appear somewhere in the next story. It's as simple as that!
More directions are better!
If you only send one picture your character will only face in one direction. This means you'll probably be a minor character, maybe standing in a crowd. But if you send front, front-side, side and back photos (amd ideally side-back photos) you're more likely to be a major character who moves about:
Rules:
1. There are no guarantees. I make the final choice of who plays what character, based on what the photos look like. You might end up in a crowd scene, or you might be the star. See below for how to increase your chances of being a major character.
2. There is no money. You don't even get a free game. Sorry!
3. It's your photo: By sending the photo you agree that you have the right to the photo (don't send a celebrity or a friend's photo unless you have written permission).
4. Don't worry! You won't be used for anything obscene or libelous. This is a family game. But you might not always be a hero, and these are based on classic novels, so villains are not always comical. For every Valjean there is a Thenardier. For every Lucie Manette there is a Therese Defarge. You have been warned!
5. You'll probably be used in more than one game. This is a thirty year project: You could still be making new stories long into the future!
How to increase your chances of being a major character:
I can't guarantee that you'll be the exact character you want, but this is how you increase your chances:
1. Promote the game: stick a banner on your web site, talk about it on game forums. Get the word out, and I'll be your best friend! Heck, if you sell five hundred copies I'll make a new game specially about you!
2. Send different directions: major characters need to be seen from different directions. A neutral or interesting expression is good too - in a drama the characters don't always smile.
3. Send a clear photo with outdoor lighting - sunlight always gives a much clearer image, which makes it easy to convert.

Enter The Story is a twenty year project to convert eighty of the world's greatest stories into adventure games. Twenty years after the laast story is added the whole game will be given away for free, ensuring that this game will still be played long after you and I are dead. You will be immortal.
